According to Fish Farmer Magazine; “A TASTING session involving specially bred salmon was due to take place in Iceland today.”
They quote the biotech company doing the research and development: “‘More than half of all aquatic species are now produced by aquaculture and its production is likely to double in the next 15 years, and insect meal has been demonstrated to successfully provide nutrition to fish.’”

The rumor mill in Belfast Maine where Nordic Aquafarm is attempting to build one of the world’s largest RAS CAAPs is Nordic is visiting schools and talking about feeding their salmon insects, specifically black flies.
Seems like putting the insect before the salmon as the local community has been and continues to be successful stopping Nordic from building in their pristine, Maine Coast waterfront city.
